Service Provision Laboratories
The UAB's Service Delivery Laboratories (LPS) have the fundamental purpose of providing high value-added services to external entities.
At IBB we have two LPS services: the Bioinformatics Service and the Protein Production Platform.
The Protein Production Platform Service (PPP) specializes in the design, production and purification of recombinant proteins as well as in providing advice, consultancy and training, in recombinant protein production. The PPP is a mixed service between the UAB and CIBER-BBN and is part of the UAB LPS and is Unit 1 of the ICTS NANBIOSIS. The PPP is closely linked to research and has highly qualified staff and specialized equipment to meet the needs of the scientific community. The Service is developed in a personalized way and is offered in two formats, remote and self-service.

We offer bioinformatics analysis services for multi-omics data: applying or adapting third-party software or generating new software, advisory services on experimental design where we can participate from the beginning of the project by guiding its start, its implementation, analysis and interpretation. We have a strong link with research and teaching, which allows us to stay up to date with related techniques in this field, including emerging techniques. We will transfer our knowledge thanks to the provision of advisory services at different levels and specific training. The equipment is located in the Data Processing Center (CPD) of the MRB building (MRB/006).
