Biophyzza Connection: fostering ideas and new connections
70 participants, 3 expert talks, and plenty of pizza: a vibrant look at the advances in biophysics that are redefining life at the molecular level.
On 25 March at 5:00 p.m., the Faculty of Biosciences at the UAB hosted the first edition of the Biophyzza Connection (at Sala de Graus I), an innovative scientific event designed to spark enthusiasm for biophysics.
The event brought together around 70 participants and was organised by the Protein Folding and Conformational Diseases Group, with the support of the UAB Faculty of Biosciences, the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (IBB), the Spanish Biophysical Society, and Domino's Pizza. It was also part of Biophysics Week, which this year took place from 23 to 27 March.
The attendees had the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge research through presentations by Dr Éric Catalina, Dr Giulia Pesce, and Dr Nathalia Varejão. The talks were followed by a short interactive quiz, after which the event transitioned into an informal networking session where participants discussed ideas, exchanged contacts, and continued the conversation over pizza and refreshments.
