EMIGRA

The name EMIGRA is an acronym that responds to the following words: Education, Migrations, Childhood, Group, Research, Anthropological. EMIGRA is a Research Group on childhood and education in migratory contexts focused on studying the dimensions and impact of cultural diversity and social inequality in the changing societies of southern Europe, and in border situations between the EU and the north. of Africa and between the US and Mexico. It is interested, therefore, in the processes of minimization of the child and youth population considering the intersectional analysis developed from the perspective of gender, "race" and class. He has developed a comparative approach and an interdisciplinary sensitivity that, however, maintains an indisputable anthropological vision and carries out ethnographic fieldwork, quantitative studies and applied social research.
