MOBILITY WITHIN UE COUNTRIES FOR NON-UE REGULAR STUDENTS

All of those non-UE citizens who hold a valid UE residence permit can enter Spain without applying for a new VISA as long as their UE residence permit is still valid.

It is needed to ask for a stay permit to the Immigration Office in Barcelona within the first 30 days upon arrival. International Support Service, if the student desires, can submit the documents via online. 

In case the student want to present the documents in person, has to do it through 42, Murcia Street or in the E-Register.

The documents that are needed for the application are:

  • Entrance stamp or entry declaration: You can ask for an entrance stamp in your passport in the Police Station of the Barcelona airport (left menu - security - security personnel - national policy) upon arrival in Spain. Alternatively, you can make an entry declaration in the National Police Station in Barcelona (Rambla Guipuzcoa, 74 o Passeig Sant Joan 189-193) within 3 working days upon arrival. Please bear in mind that it is not possible to do this procedure without the entry declaration or entrance stamp.
  • Official Form Ex-00 (original + 1 photocopy) option: “Estancia por estudios intramovilidad UE”
  • Passport (copy of all pages, including the blank ones)
  • Original and copy of the UE Residence permit
  • Admission letter from the UAB
  • Economic means (Consult the economic means table). It can be prove by one of these documents:
    • Bank Statement
    • Scholarship or grant (legalized and translated into Spanish by sworn translator)
    • Parental/familiar statement (legalized and translated into Spanish by sworn translator)
  • Private health insurance or European health Card.

For a period of studies longer than 6 months, this additional documents:

  • Medical Certificate
  • Criminal records from the coutries where lived last 5 years (legalized and translated into Spanish by Sworn translator)

MOBILITY WITHIN UE COUNTRIES FOR NON-UE EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Students who hold a student permit issued by another EU Member State and who participate in a Union or multilateral program that includes mobility measures or that are covered by an agreement between the UAB and other European higher education institutions, will have the right to enter and remain in Spain, for a period of up to 360 days, in order to carry out part of their studies at a UAB, provided that their permit in the other member state is valid throughout their stay.

To this end, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​through the International Support Service, will submit an Mobility for EU Studies Communication to the Foreigners Office by electronic means within 30 days from the entrance into Spain.

The necessary documents are:

  • Entrance stamp or entry declaration: You can ask for an entrance stamp in your passport in the Police Station of the Barcelona airport (left menu - security - security personnel - national policy) upon arrival in Spain. Alternatively, you can make an entry declaration in the National Police Station in Barcelona (Rambla Guipuzcoa, 74) within 3 working days upon arrival. Please bear in mind that it is not possible to do this procedure without the entry declaration or entrance stamp.
  • Form "Comunicación de desplazamiento por estudios UE": fill up only the students data.
  • Passport (copy of all pages, including the blank ones)
  • Original and copy of the UE Residence permit
  • Admission letter from the UAB
  • Economic means (537,84 euros x months of stay in Spain, up to a year). It can be prove by one of these documents:
    • Bank Statement
    • Scholarship or grant (legalized and translated into Spanish by Sworn translator)
    • Parental/familiar statement (legalized and translated into Spanish by Sworn translator)
