Global extractivism and climate migration
Description:
The “Ecosocial crisis, implications and challenges” series consists of 6 conferences and is organised by lecturer Josep Espluga, together with the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology and the UAB's Solidarity Foundation. It is aimed at students from all the UAB campus.
The fifth conference is entitled "Global Extractivism and Climate Migrations", and will be given by Miguel Pajares, honorary president of the Catalan Commission for Refugee Action. It will take place on 24 April, at 1:00 p.m., in Aula 13 of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology of the UAB.
Attending all 6 conferences can be validated for two ECTS credits. All conferences are free of charge. For more information, please consult the following link.

Training of delegates. Scholarship system at Catalan universities
Description:
The aim of this training is to show how the scholarship system works in Catalan universities, what scholarships are available, how to apply for them and what the requirements are.
This training is aimed at academic group delegates registered in the UAB Census.

Seminar on ethnographic methodologies in migration research
Description:
On 24 April the UAB will host a seminar entitled “Más allà del cuaderno de campo: metodologías etnográficas para investigar las migraciones”, organised by the Study Group in Immigration and Ethnic Minorities (GEDIME) and the CER-Migracions of the UAB. The conference will be given by Luciana Hartmann, lecturer in the Department of Scenic Arts of the University of Brasilia. Also participating will be Catalina Ramírez and Janna Dallmann, researchers at GEDIME and CER-Migracions. The conference will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the UAB Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. Attending this conference can be validated as credits for students of the UAB PhD programme in Sociology.

Varieties of re-enchantment: nature and spirituality in contemporary societies
Description:
The UAB's ISOR research group has worked in collaboration with the University of Groningen to organise a webinar series entitled “Varieties of Re-enchantment: Nature and Spirituality in Contemporary Societies”. The first webinar is entitled “Religion/Spirituality are not necessary for enchantment” and will be offered by Ryan Cragun, lecturer of the University of Tampa. Current working conditions: how do they affect present and future pensions?
Description:
As part of the Un cafè de Dret series organised by the AmicsUAB, Montserrat Sole-Truyols, expert in international law and lecturer in the Department of Public Law and Legal History Studies at the UAB, will give a conference in which she will analyse how changes in the labour market, precariousness and new forms of employment affect present and future pensions. The event will take place on 25 April at 6:30p.m. at the Sala Sagarra of the Ateneu Barcelonès.

Grand final of the Neurotalent Games
Description:
Grand final of the Neurotalent Games and awards ceremony, promoted by the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation.
The ceremony of medals and awards to the winners and finalists will include the conference “A healthy brain for life. Scientific evidence for the care of your memory" by Dr Marta Portero, from the Department of Psychobiology and Methodology of Health Science of the Faculty of Psychology, and the Institut de Neurociències of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
