On Wednesday, March 4, at 11:00 a.m., the Faculty of Economics and Business will commemorate International Women’s Day with an event held in the Faculty lobby (in front of SLIPI).
23/02/2026
The event will include the presentation of an exhibition of Bachelor’s Theses (TFG) from the Faculty that have been awarded as the best theses incorporating a gender perspective, as well as the presentation of the introductory panel of the Gallery of Great Women Economists.
Recognition of research with a gender perspective
Since the 2014-2015 academic year, the UAB has annually launched a call for the best Bachelor’s Theses with a gender perspective across all undergraduate degrees offered at the University.
These awards aim to raise student awareness of gender equality and non-discrimination, encouraging their interest in research while integrating the gender perspective into teaching. They also promote gender as a relevant field of academic study and reflection.
The exhibition brings together Bachelor’s Theses from degrees taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business that, during the period 2014-2015 to 2023-2024, have received this award.
Through this initiative, the Faculty seeks to highlight the work of the award recipients over the years and to give visibility to an initiative that strengthens the institutional commitment to equality and the gender perspective within the university environment.
