Inaugural Lecture of the 2025-26 Academic Year

The Faculty of Economics will inaugurate the academic year with a lecture by Elena Flores Gual, former Deputy Director-General for Investment and International Affairs at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission. A graduate in Economics from the UAB with a long career in European institutions, Flores has been responsible for international economic and financial relations, policy coordination, and the Union’s economic strategy. Her experience, spanning more than three decades in Brussels, makes her a leading voice on global governance and investment challenges at the European level.
