Following the measures approved in the Plan for de-escalation and gradual opening of activities, the campus cafés and restaurants will reopen starting on 23 November to serve the entire university community.

The plan validated by the Procicat states that the tables must be at a minimum distance of two metres, with a maximum of four diners per table, except in the case of a coexistence group. The interior capacity is limited to 30%, with good ventilation, while the capacity of the terraces is maintained at 100%.

The catering services that will reopen on 23 November are as follows: Rectorate (from 8 am to 12 noon), Art and Humanities-Psychology (from 8 am to 2 pm), Engineering (from 8 am to 12 noon), Social Sciences (from 8 am to 4 pm) and Plaça Cívica (from 8 am to 2 pm). All open restaurants will offer coffees, drinks, pastries and sandwiches, and the Social Sciences Restaurant will also prepare mixed dishes.

The UAB has a website that lists all the university restaurants on the Bellaterra and Sabadell campuses, both those managed by the Catering Service and the other establishments on campus. It includes a map where the UAB restaurants are geolocated, as well as practical information on opening hours, offers and contact details.

The website also offers a section on food and health, controls and foods without gluten or allergens, and another section named "Responsible Restaurants", which explains the campaigns and initiatives at the UAB related to social sustainability and justice in the food sector.

Accredited Quality

The UAB cafés and restaurants work with local and seasonal products. They also serve ecological food. All campus establishments have received two accreditations from the Government of Catalonia's Department of Health: the AMED (establishment promoter of the Mediterranean diet) and the AQUÍ SÍ – Fruita i Salut (establishment promoter of the daily consumption of fresh, varied, quality and local fruit).

In the "Carta de serveis" section of the website, browsers will learn about how the UAB establishments work and their commitments to quality, with the aim of fostering continuous improvements and increasing the degree of satisfaction among users.
