Advantages of walking

Walking is the cheapest and most ecological way of moving around and it is really healthy.

The walking option combines the benefits of physical exercise and emits 0g of CO2 into the atmosphere.

An average walking speed of 4km/h means you can easily cover short distances.

In recent years more people have taken to walking to the UAB. In 2001 3.9% walked to the campus and by 2009 this figure had risen to 6.4%.
