Equipment

Casa Convalescència UAB incorporates magnetic induction loop systems into its facilities. It is a service of hearing accessibility for deaf people who use hearing devices, hearing aids or cochlear implants. This equipment can be found in different locations:

1. Point of information and attention to users/Front Desk

It has a portable system located at the information point that facilitates accessibility and personalized communication. It can work constantly connected to the electrical network or as a portable device with an autonomy of 8 hours. It is a versatile piece of equipment that allows it to be used both at the user service point and in small-format work meetings.

  • Battery autonomy: 8 hours.

  • Audio connection: built-in microphone.

2. Meeting spaces, conference rooms and classrooms

There is RF equipment with individual magnetic induction loop and standard monaural headphones available. These multipurpose systems can provide coverage in any meeting space at Casa Convalescència.

The equipment can be used in one space or in two different meeting spaces simultaneously and offer this service to five users in each room (10 people in total). To work in more than one space, different reception channels must be selected for each of the rooms.

Headphones are also available for people with hearing difficulties who do not use a hearing device.

All these services may be used upon request to the organization of each of the activities.
