Master description
The Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Content consists of 60 credits, which are completed in an academic year organized into two semesters.
It includes 29 compulsory credits, including the Master’s Thesis, and 33 elective credits, which allow the student to shape their own profile.
The master’s program has a dual focus: research-oriented and professional, for which an External Internship module has been included.

Onsite classes for UAB official master¿s degrees usually take place in the afternoons, from 15.00 onwards, Monday to Friday. Depending on the semester, there may be classes every day or only some days of the week. As far as possible they are scheduled on two or three days a weekStudy plan structure

(2) In the second semester, one of the following optional subjects must be taken:
(3) Students with a prior background in the field of communication (Audiovisual Communication; Social Communication and Journalism, Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations; Organizational Communication; Interactive Communication or similar) will not have to take supplementary training courses.
(4) a) In the case of students with previous studies in the field of social sciences (such as Sociology, Political Science, Law, Economics or similar), and without any specific training in the field of communication, it will be necessary to take “Written and Audiovisual Communicative Languages” or “Theory and Structure of Corporate Communication” (both subjects address basic concepts about professional communication activity and, based on the analysis of the submitted academic record, the subject to be taken will be indicated) and “Interaction Design”.
(5) b) In the case of students with previous studies in humanities (such as History, Philosophy, Philology, Art or similar), and without any specific training in the field of communication, it will be necessary to take “Theory and Structure of Advertising” or “Theory and Structure of Corporate Communication” (both subjects address basic concepts about the field of advertising and, based on the analysis of the submitted academic record, the subject to be taken will be indicated) and “Interaction Design”.
(6) c) In the case of students from the field of engineering related to information and communication technologies (such as computer engineering in Information and Communication Technologies or similar), and without any specific training in the field of communication within the social sciences, it will be necessary to take “Theory and Structure of Advertising” or “Theory and Structure of Corporate Communication” (both subjects address basic concepts about the field of advertising and, based on the analysis of the submitted academic record, the subject to be taken will be indicated) and “Theories of Communication”.
(7) d) In the case of students from other fields similar to those mentioned here, and without any specific training in the field of communication, it will be necessary to take “Theories of Communication” and “Theory and Structure of Advertising”.
