Admission Official Master's Degree in Political Science

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

To be admitted to the Master's degree you must:
  • Hold a four-year or three-year degree, preferably in Political Sciences, Sociology, Law, Economy, Journalism, History or other similar areas. If you hold a degree in other areas you may need to enrol on additional courses suitable to your academic needs. In general terms, you may need courses in the subjects of political science and public management and in quantitative data analysis methodologies.
  • Have a good level of English (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference).

The following selection criteria will be taken into consideration:
  • Academic transcript (25%)
  • Curriculum Vitae (25%)
  • Previous studies in Political Science or equivalent (25%)
  • Cover letter (25%)

Complementary training

Students who are not graduates in Political Sciences or Sociology may need to take a few bridging courses. These courses are offered in the first semester of the master's degree.

The Master's Degree Committee will analyse each student's previous studies to determine if there is a need for the student to enrol in bridging courses.

The specific courses in which the student may need to enrol are:

• Research Techniques, 6 credits
