Second edition of the survey on equality, discrimination and violence

Enquesta GECS
The second edition of the Gender Equality Culture Survey is available at this link. The new survey, shorter than the previous one, can be filled in by anyone working at the university.

05/10/2016

The first edition of this survey, designed by the University of Antwerp, was conducted within our university last March 2015, and allowed the institution to collect data on discrimination and violence in the UAB. This year, most of the questions are multiple choice, and it only takes 25 minutes to complete. All answers are strictly anonymous and confidential.

The GECS belongs to the third work package (WP3) of the Effective Gender Equality in Research and Academia (EGERA). The UAB, through its Observatory for Equality, participates in the EGERA project (2014-2017), funded by the European Commission within the 7th Framework Programme, along with seven other universities. Its main objective is to achieve egalitarian universities, and to this end, several work packages deal with different axes of discrimination and inequality. One of these axes, approached by the WP3, fosters an environment free from sexism, discrimination, and harassment, where individuals could experience their abilities and skills. It also reviews issues such as work-life balance, formal and informal decision making processes, and non-sexist communication.
