UAB Call for Public-Private Collaboration Projects (PCPP-UAB 2026)
DESCRIPTION
Call terms and conditions
The PCPP-UAB 2026 call is an internal instrument of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) to fund and support R&D&I projects developed jointly by companies and UAB research teams.
The purpose of the call is to address specific business challenges, foster new university-business partnerships, reduce the initial risk of collaboration, and generate projects with the potential for continuity, scaling, and subsequent access to competitive Catalan, Spanish, or European funding.
Priority will be given to opportunities identified within the framework of the UAB Innovation Fair or other matchmaking and scouting activities accredited by the UAB Research Park (PRUAB).
The total allocation for the call is €100,000. It is expected to fund a minimum of five projects.
For more information, please consult the Call document.
The application must be submitted by the project's Principal Investigator .
Applicant requirements
Eligible beneficiaries are R&D&I projects developed jointly by companies and UAB research teams.
Each project must involve a single company with an operational establishment in Spain and one or more UAB research groups, departments, institutes, centers, or structures. The same company may submit more than one proposal with different UAB teams.
Projects will have a maximum duration of twelve months from the start date specified in the UAB-company contract or agreement. Exceptionally, an extension of up to six months may be authorized due to unforeseen or duly justified circumstances, provided it is requested before the end of the project and does not involve an increase in the grant amount.
The UAB Innovation Fair will take place on October 20, 2026, and will serve as a priority space for matchmaking and scouting, without constituting an administrative phase of the call. The submission period will open the day after the fair and will end on January 20, 2027, at 2:00 PM.
APPLICATION
The application must be submitted in Catalan or Spanish by the project's Principal Investigator using the application form. The following documents must be attached to this application:

Once the application is completed, save it in PDF format and sign it electronically. You can check the digital certificates recognized by the UAB on the e-Office website.
These documents (the application form, the project proposal, and a commitment letter from the company signed by its legal representative) must be submitted to the UAB Electronic Registry.
RESOLUTION
The Vice-Rector responsible for innovation and transfer will issue the provisional resolution, specifying the proposals recommended for funding, the amount awarded, and, if applicable, the waiting list.
