Support for open science infrastructures

The UAB, having endorsed the Barcelona Declaration, reaffirms its commitment to the open science supporting the following infrastructures:

• Open Book publishers membership: Open Book Publishers is a publisher of open access academic books. It allows you to access and publish peer-reviewed monographs on all subject areas. UAB has joined the library membership to promote high-quality open publishing, free of charge for authors, and to enjoy the benefits on the purchase of printed books.
• Support for DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals): DOAJ is an index of open access journals built upon an open infrastructure available for everybody. 
• Support for OApen & DOAB (Directory of Open Access Books): OApen DOAJ is a platform that indexes and provides access to peer-reviewed open access books
• OpenAlex Premium: OpenAlex is an open-access, multidisciplinary bibliographic database that connects documents, authors, journals, subjects, and institutions. It provides comprehensive information on open access and related statistics. By supporting the Premium version of this resource, the UAB contributes to the sustainability this infrastructure.
• Subscribe to Open (S2O): finally, the UAB also supports some journals that are part of S2O initiative by maintaining the subscription. In these subscribed titles, authors with UAB affiliation will be able to publish in open access at no cost under a Creative Commons license. Authors from UAB who publish in any of these journals will receive the relevant information once their article has been accepted for publication.
