Scientific Integrity
The values that underpin the scientific integrity of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona are included at all levels, both in training, research, and management. These values are part of the contents taught in bachelor’s Degree, Master's and PHD studies, as well as in tutoring activities and research’s work.
The Doctoral School offers first training in scientific integrity to the UAB, among other activities, and the researchers is governed by the Code of Good Practice in Research (CBPR) approved by the Governing Council on September 30, 2020, which establishes the guiding principles of good scientific practice.
Code of Good Practice
The Code of Good Practice is a collective self-regulation instrument: a set of guielines, recommendations, and commitments regarding research activity.

At the Institutional level, the UAB is part of and subscribes to the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity of the ALLEA (All European Academies).
It also has a Scientific Integrity Committee to attend eventual cases of unsuitable scientific practice that can be communicated to the Vice Rectorate for Research.
This committee will be formed by two academics appointed by the rector from among deans of the UAB or other academics of recognized prestige, who can also be honorary or distinguished.
