Catalan universities course on open science
One of the commitments made by the University to advance in the adoption of the open science strategy is to promote and provide training, through workshops, seminars and training sessions to raise awareness about the principles and benefits of open science in the university community.
In response to this commitment, from the first quarter of 2025, the UAB offers the Catalan universities course on open science in self-learning mode to PDI, PTGAS and doctoral students. This is a course that comprehensively presents the different open science pillars and aims to offer basic training on open science to all research staff.
PDI and PTGAS:
The Training Unit offers the course, aimed at the PDI and the PTGAS supporting research. The course is conducted in Catalan and registration will be required through the Training Portal. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
PhD students:
The UAB Doctoral School also offers this course to its doctoral students within the Transferable Skills Training Programme. This activity is available in Catalan and English in the School's Moodle classroom and no registration is required. Participants receive a certificate of attendance.
Additionally, within the training program, more specific courses on the different pillars of open science are offered, explaining how they affect doctoral students in the preparation of their doctoral thesis. Information about these courses will be provided through the Doctorate School specific dissemination channels.
