From 30 October to 15 December 2026, the outdoor display area at the Social Sciences Library hosts Housing: Rights, Needs and Realities, a bibliographic exhibition that invites visitors to reflect on the right to decent housing and the challenges involved in ensuring access to it.

The exhibition is linked to the opening lecture of the academic year at the Faculty of Law, entitled The Right to Housing and the Autonomous Communities: From a Merely Semantic Constitution to Imperfect Attempts at a Subjective Right, delivered by Javier Burón Cuadrado, a lawyer specialising in housing and managing director of Nasuvinsa, Navarre’s public housing company.

In this context, the library has prepared a selection of books and documents that explore housing from different legal, economic and social perspectives. The works on display address issues such as access to housing, housing inequalities, changes in the property market and the challenges facing public policy.

At the library, we are aware that housing is a complex issue that can be approached from many different perspectives, and that the available bibliography is far broader and more diverse than what we can display in this space. This selection is just a small introduction to the subject. It does not aim to be exhaustive or provide definitive answers, but rather to open the door to new readings and perspectives.

Through this exhibition, we hope to spark curiosity, encourage reflection and provide the university community with resources to continue exploring an issue of great social importance.

We invite you to come and see it!
