Exhibition of the "APhotoreporter 2025" photojournalism competition

As every two years, the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives is pleased to present a selection of photographic reports that have participated in the international APhotoreporter Biennial, organized by AFOCER (Agrupació Foto-Cine Cerdanyola-Ripollet). On this occasion, it is the seventh edition of the competition, which took place in 2025. 

The exhibition, which can be visited from May 4 to June 30 on the ground floor of the library, features a selection of the award-winning photographs from this latest edition, including the images by the Honor Prize winner, Joaquín Gómez Sastre. 

From the introductory text: 

“One of the sections of the competition, “Migrations and Integration,” aims to focus on the human movements shaping today’s world, as well as on the experiences of people who, despite adversity, seek a new opportunity for life and coexistence. 

APhotoreporter is not just an exhibition of images: it is a space to listen, to question, and to be moved. A dialogue between the photographer and the viewer, between reality and awareness. 

From AFOCER, we would like to express our gratitude to the jury for their dedication and discernment, and to all the participants for sharing their perspectives, stories, and commitment. And, especially, we would like to congratulate the award-winning authors for their excellence and photographic sensitivity.
