Presentation of the dictionary Terminology of Corruption and Transparency at the Social Sciences Library
On Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at 11am, the Social Sciences Library will host the presentation of Terminology of Corruption and Transparency, an online dictionary jointly developed by the TERMCAT Terminology Centre and the Research Group on Political Studies, Identities, Institutions and Corruption -GREPIIC- at the UAB.
Terminology of Corruption and Transparency (SPA) brings together nearly two hundred terms related to corruption, transparency, good governance and accountability. The terms are organised into three main areas: legal regulation and the criminal framework of corruption, malpractice, and transparency and good practices.
Each entry includes the Catalan terms, their Spanish equivalents, a definition and, in many cases, explanatory notes that help to better contextualise each concept. The dictionary incorporates legal, political, historical and social terms, as well as expressions used in journalistic contexts or in more colloquial registers.
