"BiblioTips" Exhibition, at the Science and Technology Library
The Science and Technology Library is organising an exhibition to help students become more familiar with the library’s resources and make the most of the search engine’s capabilities, learn about the various materials available for loan, and locate documents more easily in the reading room, amongst other “Bibliotips”.
This exhibition uses visual aids to show how to use the search engine efficiently to reserve books or expand the search to request books or book chapters not available at the UAB from other universities, among other things.
It also explains how to find books in the reading room using the call number, locate the bibliography for a course, or search for documents on the same subject.
In addition, the materials available for loan are listed, such as headphones with a USB or jack output, noise-cancelling headphones, calculators, Android and iPhone mobile phone chargers, and pencil cases containing a pen and eraser.
A screen continuously displays ‘BiblioTips’ – useful advice we have compiled based on users’ needs identified through various channels (focus groups, suggestion boxes and satisfaction surveys).
This is a very practical exhibition for all users of our library and all UAB libraries.
