The campaign promotes access to scientific literature with a network of immediate connection points that eliminates waiting times and the burden of physical formats in both classrooms and hospitals.

The Library of Medicine launches “Biblio-Rescue”, an initiative designed to transform access to scientific information inside and outside the classroom. The goal is to eliminate logistical barriers to study and teaching, making the most up-to-date editions of reference manuals and the most prestigious databases available to the entire community.

Customized solutions for every profile

For students, the campaign offers a practical solution to common problems such as the weight of physical textbooks and the lack of copies during exam periods. With color-coded posters (purple for Medicine, green for Nursing, and orange for Physical Therapy), students can use QR codes to “rescue” the Prometheus anatomy atlas, Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, NANDA-NIC-NOC, Kinédoc, and other resources, all available 24/7 on their personal devices.

On the other hand, for teaching staff, “Biblio-Rescue” facilitates the integration of high-impact resources into teaching guides and the Virtual Campus, ensuring that students always work with the most recent editions. In addition, resources such as ClinicalKey Medicine, ClinicalKey Nursing, and AccesMedicina offer multimedia material and videos of procedures that serve as dynamic support for theoretical and practical sessions.

From the library to the hallway

The campaign is already visible in the hallways of the Faculty and the Library, where each poster acts as a gateway to elite resources (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, among others). This comprehensive approach ensures that, whether preparing for a lecture or a scientific article, or studying for a midterm exam, the best literature is just a click away.

Thematic guides

In addition to physical access points, the Library reminds you that the thematic guides for Medicine, Nursing, and Physiotherapy contain a complete selection of recommended resources for your discipline. These web pages bring together databases, scientific journals, and manuals subscribed to by the Library Service, offering essential support to facilitate study and research.
