November at the Social Sciences Library: Three Exhibitions to See and Reflect On
This November, the Social Sciences Library presents three exhibitions: one dedicated to the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics; The Boy Who Sold the World, a photographic exhibition by Dom Fernández on loan from AFOCER; and a bibliographic selection on children’s rights, part of the celebration of November 20th, International Children’s Day.
In the display case at the library entrance, you will find the exhibition dedicated to the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics: Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion and Peter Howitt. The exhibition explains how societies grow when they connect science with real–world application and when new ideas replace old ones. It also highlights the importance of supporting R&D, avoiding monopolies, and accompanying people through labour market changes.
In the lobby, you can visit The Boy Who Sold the World, by Dom Fernández: a photographic series reflecting on childhood and privacy in an information-saturated society.
Finally, as a complement to this exhibition, you will find a bibliographic selection on children’s rights, child and adolescent care, legislation and the legal situation of minors, social media and teenagers, among other topics, to mark the celebration of International Children’s Day on November 20th.
Enjoy the three proposals this November and be inspired by the ideas, images, and readings.
