From October 20th to 26th, the International Open Access Week 2025 is celebrated, with the theme Who owns our knowledge?

From October 20th to 26th, the International Open Access Week is celebrated around the world, an annual initiative to promote open access (OA) in the academic and research world. This year’s theme is Who owns our knowledge? about how the communities can take control over the knowledge they produce in this time of disruption.
Below we detail the different activities that will be held to promote open access and we invite you to attend!
Step by step: practical workshop to deposit research data in CORA.RDR
Date: Tuesday, 21 October 2025
Schedule: 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Format: in-person attendees
Description: In the first part of the workshop, we will explain the elements to consider when preparing a Readme.txt file and submitting a dataset to the CORA.RDR repository. In the second part, attendees will be able to prepare their Readme.txt files and/or submit their datasets to CORA.RDR with the guidance of the instructors.
Attendees should bring their laptop to the workshop room and have access to the data files they wish to submit to CORA.RDR.
Important: As the workshop is practical, users who register must have a dataset ready to submit to CORA.RDR during the session or in the days following the session.
No attendance certificates will be issued.

The session will cover issues such as administrative situations, working life, publication of contributions in the UAB Digital Document Repository (DDD), open access and open research data, bibliometric narrative, how to reference documents in EGRETA and the CVN, among others. There will also be an open question and answer session.
