Miquel de Moragas Collection
Miquel de Moragas y Spà is honorary professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since 2017. He holds a PhD in Philosophy, a degree in Philosophy and Humanities, and a degree in Journalism. His research has focused on four main areas: communication theories, communication policies, cultural studies of sport and Olympism, and communication and the city.
His academic responsibilities at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona include Dean of the Faculty of Communication Studies (1978-1980 and 1982-1984), Vice-Rector for Research (1985-1989), and founder and director of the Institut de la Comunicació (InCom-UAB, 1997-2009) and the Centre d'Estudis Olímpics (CEO-UAB, 1988-2009).
Collection description: The collection includes professional documentation and a selection from his personal library, comprising more than 700 books and journals on communication, philosophy, literary criticism, history, politics and the Olympic Games.
