Francesc Bonastre Collection

Francesc Bonastre i Bertran (Montblanc, 1944 – Barcelona, 2017) was a musicologist, composer, professor and university professor of Musicology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His research focused on the history of Catalan music, especially the Baroque period, and on the recovery of musical heritage. 

He also worked as a composer and participated in the creation and promotion of projects and institutions dedicated to musicological research. 

His personal collection was donated to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and is currently being processed. 

Collection description: The collection comprises part of his documentation, both personal and professional. It also includes a selection from his private library.
