UAB Service-Learning Day

Next Monday, May 26, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the UAB will host the VI UAB Service-Learning Day organized by the Service Learning Office, which is managed by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària.

Program:

First, from 9 to 11 am, an inspiring session entitled "International Models of University Service Learning" will take place, in which Nieves Tapia (Argentina), Julia Raberger (Austria) and Marta Vallvé (Netherlands) will speak. During this session, the awards will be given to the best TFG with ApS from the past year and we will have the opportunity to listen to the speeches of the winning students.

Secondly, from 11:15 to 12:45 pm, a participatory dynamic in a Speed Dating format will be developed in the Veterinary Library, with the aim of broadening perspectives when connecting university teaching staff and entities from the 3rd sector/public bodies. On this occasion, there will be no grouping by topic, but the objective will be more aimed at thinking about possible collaborations with those teaching staff that are not so obvious at the outset, in order to promote creativity, interdisciplinarity and openness.

Finally, from 1 to 3 pm, an Entities Fair will be held, with refreshments included, planned in the format of an outdoor exhibition of stands, open to everyone. The activity will include refreshments, which can be accessed through a ticket that will be obtained by visiting the stands at the fair. This dynamic aims to encourage interaction between teachers and the entities that have a stand.
