Nit de la Recerca 2026 (Research Night)
IBB researchers have participated in conferences, workshops and guided tours.

This past Friday, September 26, from 5 to 10 p.m., the UAB held the "Nit de la Recerca a la UAB". This public event is dedicated to the dissemination of science and aims to bring research, innovation and its protagonists closer to the public of all ages in a simple and fun way.
The Faculty of Biosciences also organizes the "Matinals de Recerca", part of this outreach initiative, but this time in the morning and targeting secondary and high school students.
Researchers from our institute have participated in some of the activities that have been programmed for both the "Nit de la Recerca" and "Matinals de Recerca":
- "De què parlen els bacteris?" Conference at the Faculty of Biosciences, given by Daniel Yero, researcher at the Bacterial Molecular Genetics research group.
- "Un futur sense Parkinson: el paper clau de la recerca". Conference at the Faculty of Biosciences, given by Irantzu Pallarès, from the Protein Folding and Conformational Diseases research group
- "Diversitat Animal": Workshop at the UAB SiS Space, organized by the Genome Instability and Integrity research group.
- PhyloGenome: tu decideixes la història de la seqüenciació genòmica: Workshop at the UAB SiS Space, organized by the Bioinformatics of Genomic Diversity research group
- Visit to the "Institut de Biotecnologia i de Biomedicina" laboratories: two different itineraries were offered, one for animal models and one for proteins. The scientists that participated were Marlid García, Celeste Gómez, Sebastian Tanco and José Luis Corchero.
Once again, we are committed to bringing science closer to the public and fostering scientific vocations to contribute to the creation of the scientists of the future.
