Exhibition eARTh observation
The opening of the eARTh observation exhibition will take place on November 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., led by the exhibition’s curator, Jordi Corbera, Head of the Catalan Earth Observation Programme at the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia, in the lobby of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts.
Earth Observation platforms have revolutionized the way we understand and observe our interactions with the territory, offering a unique, synoptic, and repetitive perspective. These new ways of seeing enable advances in key technological and scientific fields, fostering greater knowledge of ecosystems to support the development of actions and policies aimed at sustainability and efficiency.
“eARTh observation – A New Vision of the Territory” invites us to explore a dialogue between two seemingly different yet complementary worlds: art and geoinformation. It is a meeting space where light and creativity become shared forms of expression.
The exhibition takes visitors through different landscapes of Catalonia, placing them in conversation with artistic works. It is complemented by an inspiring talk that connects Earth observation imagery, applied techniques, and works of art.
The exhibition can be visited at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the Autonomous University of Barcelona from November 26 to December 19, 2025.
