Language knowledge
Incoming exchange students must provide:
- Certified B1 level of Spanish or Catalan mandatory to attend courses held in these languages;
- Certified B1 level of English, not older than 2 years, mandatory to attend courses held in English, if applicable.
For mother languages you must provided your passport.

Day-to-day life at the Faculty and, more generally, at the UAB, even in the case of enrolling only in courses taught in English, a knowledge of the Spanish language corresponding to B1 level is strongly recommended..
To improve your language level, the Servei de Llengües offers a Catalan and Spanish language courses once you arrive at the UAB. Information and how to register on the website.
The number of places per course is limited and no more places can be added. Please note that the annual courses can only be selected by annual exchange students.
In the following documents you will find the courses offered by the Faculty by semester:
- Courses offered at the Autumn Semester
- Courses offered at the Spring Semester
You can find the syllabus of the courses at the website of each of our bachelor's degrees.
Important: Given that you will most likely have to complete your learning agreement with subjects taught in Spanish, due to the limited number of places and subjects offered in English, we recommend that you have a B1 in Spanish.
