The Buddy Programme starts for its third consecutive year with the welcome act to the UAB Barcelona Summer School 2018. By taking advantage of this first act, the university has invited the students enrolled to a coffee so they can interact with other students and have a first contact with buddies. Buddies will be their companions during the activities and courses that will take place during the Summer School.

Buddies were created in order to boost through participation and dynamization the interaction between local and international students that participate at the UAB Barcelona Summer School. Buddies are local students that have experienced an Erasmus or a UAB Exchange Programme or that have the intention of doing so and want to supports the newcomer students. Next 26th June at 2 pm, buddies will formally meet the students and will repeat this meeting the 3rd of July.

During the 3 weeks that the UAB Barcelona Summer School lasts, from June until August, international and local students will be able to participate in different activities such as the Tandem, and will be able to practice different languages and attend different workshops such as Catalan from scratch, given by the UAB Language Service the 3rd of July at the sala annexa of the Hotel of Entities. Students will also be able to play beach volleyball at the Physical Activity Service’s facilities.
