Student Ainhoa Castaño is awarded one of the DonaTIC 2023 Awards
Ainhoa Castaño Martos, enrolled in the joint bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and Telecommunication Electronic Engineering at the UAB, received one of the DonaTIC 2023 Awards on 16 November.
The DonaTIC Awards form part of the Pla DonaTIC [WomenICT Plan], launched by the Government of Catalonia with the main objective of increasing the presence, empowerment and leadership of women in the digital field. The awards are organised by the Ministry for Digital Policies and Public Administration in collaboration with the Catalan Women’s Institute, the Women’s Observatory, the Business and Economy sector (ODEE) of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Tertúlia Digital association.
Ainhoa Castaño received the DonaTIC Award in the category of ICT Student, dedicated to students who had developed an outstanding project and/or initiative in this field. In this case, the award was given to her in recognition of her achievements at the UAB School of Engineering, particularly for her involvement in the MEMEnginy technology fair and organisation of the TecnoUAB students association.
