Dr. Martí Boada chosen 'Honorary Member' of the Professional Association of Forest Engineers

The award was given as part of the celebrations of the feast day of its patron, Saint Francis of Assisi, and aims to acknowledge the work of several of its members and of those persons and institutions who strive to protect and take care of the environment and forests.
Martí Boada is a Geographer, naturalist and Doctor in Environmental Sciences. He is a full professor and researcher at the Department of Geography and at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) He has been recently appointed UNESCO's scientific advisor on issues of conservation of biosphere reserves. Boada has joined the organization, based in Paris, as a consultant for the Man and Biosphere Program (MAB) included in the Division of Ecological and Earth Sciences.
