Autònoma Actua: you can make artistic proposals now!

Autònoma Actua is a programme that consists in musical, dramatic and artistic activities proposed by members of the university community and organised by Cultura en Viu.

Do you dance, sing or perform? Are you a DJ? Do you play in a group? Would you like performing or playing during the FM14?

The call for participating in Autònoma Actua is open until 20 October. The main objective of this programme is to promote participation of students, administrative and service staff and teaching and research staff who have proposals, artistic initiatives or that are part of a group of music, theatre or dance and want to perform in the stage spaces of the campus.

This will be the only call during the 2014-2015 academic year and the selected performances will play in the UAB Festa Major on 6 November, at the Theatre of the UABas part of the regular programming and at the end of April in another performance at the campus.

If it is an individual performance, this person must be a member of the UAB community (student, administrative and service staff, teaching and research staff or member of the Association of UAB friends). On the contrary, if it is a group, at least one of the members must belong to the university community. Groups that have already participated in past years can participate again.

There will be a commission that will select the performances by taking into account the variety and artistic level of the applicants, the technical feasibility of the performance and the adaptation to the stages spaces of the campus. The commission will be composed of a representative of the Music, Theatre and Dance activities of the UAB, two UAB students and two people from the Cultura en Viu team.

The financial reward for the performances will depend on the number of members of the group: 100 Euros for individual performances, 200 Euros for performances of two people and 300 Euros in case of groups of three or more people. The organisation will manage all material and technical aspects.

During the 2013-2014 academic year, a total of 31 proposals of music, dance and theatre participated in Autònoma Actua and 13 performances were selected to play in the different stage spaces of the campus.
