Aviation accounts for around 3% of global emissions and is expected to double by 2030. Recently, many academic institutions have implemented measures to reduce flights. UAB has declared climate emergency this year and is awaiting proposals. This seminar will present the motivation and possibilities to reduce aviation through institutional measures to start a process of practical proposals for ICTA-UAB and UAB. Together we want to discuss how we can make it easier to reduce our carbon footprint through work-related travel.
