The Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA-UAB) is a research center of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona that hosts approximately 200 researchers trained in environmental sciences spanning natural, socio-economic and engineering fields.

The UAB first established the institute in 2003 in the Faculty of Science. Since October 2014, it has been housed in an emblematic LEED GOLD-certified building on the UAB campus that is highly energy-efficient, and which reflects an open and collaborative working environment.
