II Conference on Knowledge Transfer in Social Sciences and Humanities
Description:
Following the success of the first edition, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is hosting the second Conference on Knowledge Transfer in the Social Sciences and Humanities. The theme of this year's conference is 'From research to impact: services, networks and transfer routes in CSH', and it will provide a platform for reflection and the sharing of experiences on how to transform research into social, institutional and economic impact.
The conference is organised by the UAB Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship, the UAB Research Park and the AccessCat Network, and sponsored by Scribal. It focuses on the services, instruments and transfer support structures offered by the UAB to research groups in the social sciences and humanities, as well as the networks, collaboration mechanisms and standardisation frameworks that facilitate knowledge valorisation.
The session will address knowledge transfer from a broad perspective, moving beyond classic models of technological commercialisation to highlight the diversity of existing pathways in the field of CSH, including public–private collaboration, collaboration with administrations, industrial doctorates, research agreements and contracts, participation in tenders, and methodological development and standardisation processes.
The programme includes:
- A presentation of the UAB's transfer support services and units.
- The role of R&D networks, paying special attention to AccessCat and CLARIAH-CAT.
- A showcase of success stories demonstrating real-life collaboration with companies and public administrations.
- A specific intervention on standardisation as a strategic tool for transfer and impact.
The conference is aimed at research staff, transfer and research management personnel, institutional managers, public administration agents, companies, and social entities interested in collaborating with the university.
It is an opportunity to learn about available resources, generate new connections, and promote transfer in the social sciences and humanities.
