Given the measures recently adopted by the health authorities of Catalonia with regard to the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, the Governing Team at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has decided to return to the measures in force before 1 July, when priority was given to remote working in all areas in which tasks could be done online. This new situation will go into force on Monday 20 July.

The following services and areas will continue to offer on-site attention:

  • Security and Surveillance.
  • Farm Services.
  • Stables Services.
  • Psychobiology Laboratory.
  • Logistical support and information services in all centres, open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • General Register Office, open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., prior online appointment.
  • Research activities in laboratories and scientific and technical services which cannot be done remotely.
  • Academic procedures related to enrolments, end of year marks, etc. which require being on-site. Services will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior online appointment, and all procedures which can be done by phone will be offered to avoid travelling to the campus.
  • Information Point at the Plaça Cívica.
  • The Library Services will provide books on loan and allow bibliographic consultatons on appointment.
  • Healthcare Services.
  • Physical Activities Service (SAF).
  • Veterinary Clinic and Hospital.
  • Vila Universitària.

In the case of already programmed on-site activities, the viability of each will need to be analysed individually.

Personal protection and prevention measures will continue to be the same which were in place during the deconfinement phases: in this sense, academic and administration and services staff working on campus must:

  • Follow all prevention instructions and guidelines.
  • Use masks, except in those cases in which it is exempt by the health authorities.
  • Maintain an interpersonal safety distance of 1.5 metres.

It is worth highlighting that the UAB is not located within the confined areas and that, at the moment, there is no change or restrictions on mobility in this area. Those needing a certificate to travel to campus from the confined areas, can request it at the Àrea de Gestió de Persones.
