Ideal student profile
Graduates or diploma holders in Physiotherapy, or in equivalent degrees, who wish to acquire advanced and specific knowledge in pediatric physiotherapy, both in prevention and treatment, covering from newborn to adolescence.

- Explain in depth the different exploratory tests performed in pediatrics that are necessary to develop a physiotherapy diagnostic hypothesis.
- Describe in depth the different physiotherapy therapeutic approaches applied to various pediatric conditions.
- Identify the foundations of research protocol design to obtain scientific results applied to the field of pediatric physiotherapy.
- Explain what it means in research and professional practice of physiotherapy in pediatrics to act with ethical responsibility, respecting democratic values, fundamental rights and duties, and diversity and gender perspective, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Skills
- Identify in detail the alterations of each stage of child development.
- Perform the assessment of alterations and/or dysfunctions in the field of pediatrics.
- Analyze the information obtained during the evaluation to establish a physiotherapeutic diagnosis consistent with the child’s condition.
- Develop physiotherapy treatment in pediatrics by applying the most appropriate techniques for each case.
- Apply the scientific method in the approach and resolution of clinical problems.
- Solve problems and adapt to new situations in the field of pediatric physiotherapy, both individually and collectively.
- Communicate pediatric physiotherapy information clearly and accurately at different levels, using appropriate language and tools.

- Address pediatric stage alterations and/or dysfunctions in a comprehensive manner.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies, considering the biopsychosocial context of the pediatric patient.
