Master description

The main aim of this advanced training in paediatric physiotherapy is to offer the health service physiotherapists who are able to join multidisciplinary teams to attend efficiently to therapeutic and preventative needs in all areas and ages (0-18). From care of premature babies in in intensive care units to school students with motor disabilities. They will also be able to apply the research methodology based on clinical practice.
This training also contemplates the following specific objectives:
  • Attend to therapeutic needs efficiently, centred on the improvement and promotion of good health in the different areas of paediatric physiotherapy, according to age, in premature baby wards, ordinary and special schools, homes, hospitals, health centres, swimming pools, etc.
  • Acquire advanced knowledge in different areas of paediatric physiotherapy through research and clinical practice.
  • React critically to information and acquire independently related knowledge and be able to formulate ideas, judgements and evaluations free from errors of concept or generalised opinions with no scientific basis.
  • Apply research methodology based on clinical practice with the aim of being able to generate, share and disseminate health knowledge in the field of paediatrics.
