  • Identify the most common computing architectures and programming management resources used to optimize the operation of mathematical models. 
  • Describe the main mathematical tools used in the construction of models, as well as the main results and/or predictions that can be obtained from them.

  • Apply specific software for the resolution and interpretation of modelling, optimisation and/or data processing problems. 
  • Develop computer applications aimed at modelling a specific system/process, using an appropriate programming environment and evaluating its performance. 
  • Apply basic mathematical techniques of analysis and optimization in the construction of mathematical models that provide answers to particular questions and/or problems. 
  • Apply previously given models or modelling environments in the resolution of specific practical problems. 
  • Interpret the nature of the parameters and the basic structure of a mathematical model aimed at describing a specific problem or situation. 
  • Properly interpret the results and predictions obtained by applying a mathematical model to the resolution of specific problems.
