Career options

Education Studies graduates work in all contexts in which there are persons in training, in cultural, recreational and developmental activities, as employees or on a self-employed basis. Some examples of the type of work involved are as follows.
  • Coordinating and leading teams, programmes and services in education.
  • Designing, developing and evaluating training plans.
  • Delivering courses and training activities.
  • Giving advice and guidance to persons or groups.
  • Designing and producing teaching materials and resources.
  • Activating groups and communities.
  • Conducting studies and research.

The bachelor's degree in Education Studies offers a wide range of career options in a variety of contexts. In the field of education there is work in teaching and pedagogical consultancy, consultancy services on personal, professional, academic and/or family matters, coordinating schools for adults and hospital schools, specialist diagnosis centres, teacher training and design of teaching materials.

In the social field, there is work as pedagogical director, specialist or advisor in social, educational and cultural centres, associations or foundations, as managers of projects for recreation or sustainable human development, and as social, educational and cultural mediators. There is also work in education, in social, personal, cultural, employment, economic promotion, justice, international services (both in public administration and in private organisations) in the establishment of policies on education, diversity, equality, etc.

In the private sector graduates can work as managers, specialists, and trainers in personnel departments and knowledge management departments, as career guidance consultants, as producers and consultants on pedagogy in publishers', as managers of cultural and heritage projects in civic centres, museums, etc., as e-learning programme designers, as educational consultants in the media, museums and cultural projects and in research and knowledge transfer centres, and as specialists in educational innovation processes.
