Awards for Final Projects with social impact receive nearly 100 applications, 33 of them for the Service-Learning (SL) Awards
The 2026 calls for applications for the Awards for Final Projects (TFE) using the Service-Learning (SL) methodology (6th edition) and the Arcadi Oliveres Awards for Bachelor’s Final Degree Projects (TFG) for Transformation towards Global Justice (10th edition) have closed with a high level of participation.
The calls received nearly 100 applications from students across all faculties and schools of the UAB who, during the previous academic year, completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s Final Project with a social impact, addressing topics related to global justice and sustainable development, or developed through the Service-Learning methodology. Among the submitted projects are studies on the ecosocial crisis, historical memory, human rights, migration and racism, populism and disinformation, health and care, artificial intelligence and ethics, environmental justice, and animal welfare, among other topics.
These awards recognize the commitment of students at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona to social transformation, global justice, and addressing social and environmental challenges through academic research and Service-Learning.
Following the closure of the submission period, the evaluation phase begins. Reviewers will assess the projects according to criteria such as academic quality, innovation, and social impact.
The results of the calls will be published during the second semester of the 2026-2027 academic year on the corresponding websites. In addition, a recognition ceremony for all award recipients is planned for spring, during which the winning Bachelor’s Final Degree Projects in each field of knowledge will be announced. Each winning project will receive a prize of €250.
This initiative is promoted by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària with the support of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Barcelona City Council, within the framework of the Pluriversitat project.
