The Social Impacte of University Service-Learning
This December, the sixth GUIDE on aspects related to the Service-Learning methodology was published. The study of the social impact of university service-learning is essential to understand its effectiveness and sustainability.
The guide is the result of research aimed at analyzing the social impact of university service-learning, with the goal of identifying its indicators. The methodology followed was qualitative and consisted of two phases. The first phase used an interpretative phenomenological approach, and the second phase employed the e-Delphi method to achieve consensus among a second group of service-learning experts. The expert panel reached agreement on 20 indicators, divided into community impact and impact on social organizations.
The obtained indicators provide a framework for the structured and rigorous evaluation of the social impact generated by university service-learning projects. This guide explains the details.
You can find Guide 6 here.
