An international study involving the UAB warns that critical scientific research and environmental management gaps in relation to blue carbon ecosystems (BCEs), coastal wetlands that capture and store carbon dioxide, hinder the consideration of these ecosystems in global efforts to tackle climate change.

The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has announced the resolution of the eighth edition of the Teaching Excellence Awards, which highlight university teaching and the commitment to learning of lecturers. This year's edition incorporated a group modality, a novelty that has allowed for specific recognition of the shared and cooperative work of lecturers and their capacity to promote coordinated and sustained academic experiences.
