Exhibition: "EL Pirineo sin Briet, 100 años de cambio en el paisaje"
On Thursday, April 24, the exhibition "The Pyrenees without Briet: 100 Years of Landscape Changes" will open, featuring a talk by Anchel Belmonte, scientific coordinator of the UNESCO Global Geopark Sobrarbe-Pyrenees, at 12:00 PM in the Sala Tarot de Quinze.

The exhibition, on display at the PassArtdis of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, is the result of a joint effort between the Sobrarbe Region and the UNESCO Global Geopark Sobrarbe-Pyrenees, commemorating the centenary of the death of Pyrenean explorer Lucien Briet (Paris, March 2, 1860 – Charly-sur-Marne, August 4, 1921), author of one of the most comprehensive photographic archives of the Aragonese Pyrenees and a key figure in the designation of Ordesa as a National Park, as well as in promoting the natural and cultural heritage of Alto Aragón.
The stunning images invite viewers on a journey through time to observe changes in the Pyrenean geological landscape — in the power of rivers, the movement of slopes, or the volume of glaciers. Images and commentary that reveal the mountains through a geological lens.
