This lecture forms part of the XIV Conference Series on Territorial Studies and Planning. The fourteenth edition, titled "Tourism and Socio-territorial Challenges: Planning and Management of Inland Tourism in the Vinalopó Corridor (Alicante)," comprises six lectures that explore key issues in analyzing the potential role of tourism as a complementary economic activity in local territorial development.
