01.02 Escola Comerç de Sabadell
The Escola de Comerç de Sabadell was founded in 1942 as an educational institution governed by a board of trustees that included, among others, the Ajuntament de Sabadell, the Banc de Sabadell, the Gremi de Fabricants de Sabadell, the Institut Industrial de Terrassa, and the Cambra Oficial de Comerç i Indústria de Sabadell.
It remained an independent higher education institution until 1972, when the Escola de Comerç became affiliated with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona as the Escola Universitària d'Estudis Empresarials (EUEE). Together with the former Escola Universitària d'Informàtica, it formed the UAB's Sabadell Campus.
In 2010, the Facultat d'Economia i Empresa of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona was created as a result of the merger of the Escola Universitària d'Estudis Empresarials and the Facultat de Ciències Econòmiques i Empresarials.
