Registration Assistance Office
The UAB Registration Assistance Office (OAMR), commonly known as the General Registry Office, was established in compliance with the provisions of Law 39/2015 of 1 October on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
Under this legislation, the OAMR continues its core function of receiving and registering documents, that is, certifying the receipt and dispatch of documentation through official registry entries. However, its role has been expanded to ensure and facilitate citizens' interactions and administrative procedures with public administrations.
In addition to managing the registration of incoming and outgoing documents, the Office provides assistance and guidance to users, helping them complete administrative procedures and ensuring their right to communicate effectively with the University and public authorities through both electronic and in-person channels.
- Assistance for citizens and users: We provide guidance and support throughout the process of officially submitting documents to the University, ensuring that all procedures are carried out correctly and in accordance with current regulations.
- Representation by Authorized Officials: When necessary, staff members registered in the Register of Authorized Public Officials may act on behalf of an interested party, subject to prior written authorization, by submitting applications and documentation in their name, thereby facilitating their interactions with the administration.
- Single Point of Contact (One-Stop Shop): The Office not only processes applications and documents addressed to the UAB but can also register documents intended for any other public administration. The UAB Registration Assistance Office forwards such submissions to the appropriate authority through the public administration records interconnection system.
- Electronic Certified Copies: The Office is also responsible for producing electronic authentic copies of documents issued by the UAB. These electronic copies are gradually replacing traditional paper-based certified copies, although paper certifications are still provided when required.
The entry into force of Law 39/2015 established the primacy of electronic means over paper-based and in-person procedures, although the latter remain available. This change makes it easier for individuals to submit applications and documentation through the online registry, which is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the year.
The following services require a prior appointment:
- Certified copies of degree certificates.
- Issuance of the idCAT digital certificate.
- High-volume document registrations: To ensure an efficient service, registrations involving a large volume of documentation require an appointment, which can be arranged by contacting the Registry Office via email.
Appointments help us provide a more efficient and personalized service while ensuring the proper handling of documentation and administrative procedures.
