Chinese Literature Translated in Spain (TXICCLite)

On this portal, the Research Group on Translation from Chinese into Catalan/Spanish (TXICC) provides anyone interested in Chinese or Sinophone literature with a database that includes all works originally written in Chinese that have been published in Spain and translated into one of its official languages.

It is an open-access database that enables the analysis of different aspects of literature written in Chinese through literary translation, such as the (in)visibility of the translator, the role of specific professionals and publishing houses in introducing Chinese-language literature into our country, the image we form of Chinese culture through various paratexts such as covers, reviews, interviews, prefaces and translators’ notes, as well as the impact of certain works through their translations. It is therefore a living project, constantly updated and undergoing continuous improvement.
